Transat welcomed a select group of western Canadian travel industry professionals to Vancouver’s Blue Water Café last week to reveal the exciting new line up of sun products in its new ‘Sun for Everyone’ 2015-2016 brochure.
Hitting your desks very soon, the new brochure showcases some 35 destinations, 495 resorts and four exclusive cruises.
New for this season is the addition of Central American destinations Honduras and Panama—locations are already particularly popular with Transat’s sister-brand, Nolitours.
Of the nearly 500 properties featured in the Sun for Everyone collection, 55 are exclusive to Transat and Nolitours. Cornerstones like Decameron continue to perform well and they are expected to continue to do so as the operator strengthens its focus on multi-generational family travel.
Recognizing that families come in all shapes and sizes, the company is now offering ‘Multigenerational Vacations’ and ‘Single Parent’ offerings. There are seven properties in the line-up that can spaciously accommodate multigenerational families of all sizes, as well as a whopping 28 resorts that are now offering special incentives to singe parents travelling with their children.
New Targeted Collections
The operator also announced the introduction of three new vacation style collections: Solo, Adults and Sun Savvy. The three collections complement the company’s existing Distinction, Luxury and Family style vacations.
Solo travellers now have more options than ever before with the introduction of the Solo Collection across 17 resorts. These properties cater to singles with reserved communal dining tables and a weekly happy hour—and best of all—all single supplements have been eliminated.
The 18+ crowd can now pick their own vacation style with Transat’s new ‘Adults Collection’, which offers a choice of serene and lively resorts, while budget-minded travellers can now find affordable options in the new Sun Savvy Collection. These resorts are all 3.5 and 4 star properties and they include exotic destinations like Roatan and Managua.
Transat Training Academies for Agents
Western Canada Transat training academies kick off September 8 in Edmonton. They will have an educational focus and will include group travel training and tips on multigenerational family and switch selling.
