The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas unveiled a refresh to its guest rooms across both the Boulevard and The Chelsea Towers. The project will be fully complete this year with 2,895 of the resort’s 3,033 rooms remodelled with influence from innovative and inspired designers, including New York-based Virserius Studio. The newly designed rooms emphasize modern design and luxurious comfort and come as the result of a meticulous selection process that lasted over 18 months. Stand-out features of the newly designed guest rooms include modern artwork paired with clean textiles, statement wall coverings, textured carpeting, improved lighting and user-friendly technology. Interiors exude an edgy yet sophisticated aesthetic, incorporating rich jewel tones, gold touches and handcrafted patterns. The updated rooms boast advanced technology providing access to text-based virtual host, Rose, and in-room iPads allowing guests to book restaurant and spa reservations, purchase show tickets, order room service, schedule wake up calls and automated lighting and temperature adjustments.

This year two unique dining concepts will add to The Cosmopolitan’s already astounding collection. The first concept, Red Plate, is a sophisticated restaurant that celebrates traditional Chinese cuisine in a refined setting. Red Plate will offer an unparalleled dining experience grounded in authentic Cantonese flavours. Red Plate’s culinary vision will be led by Chef Yip Cheung, an esteemed expert in multi-regional Chinese cuisine. As Executive Chef of Red Plate, Cheung will utilize traditional Chinese techniques and preparations to present an authentic Cantonese menu with hints of modern inspiration.

The second concept is a dynamic new culinary destination known as Block 16 Urban Food Hall. Established as The Strip’s first made-to-order urban market, Block 16 will showcase a curated selection of undeniably unique concepts, uniting the most sought-after chefs and restaurants handpicked from foodie capitals across the country. Six individual food and beverage outposts will live within the urban space, offering curious eaters and ambitious restauranteurs a place to celebrate their shared passion for innovative food and drink. Following the ethos of The Cosmopolitan, Block 16 Urban Food Hall will debut first-to-market experiences that cannot be found anywhere else in Las Vegas amidst a spirited metropolitan atmosphere. Restaurant concepts include the hip and widely popular New Orleans restaurant, District: Donuts. Sliders. Brew., Ghost Donkey, a hotspot tequila and mezcal cocktail bar from New York City, Nashville’s hot Southern chicken joint Hattie B’s Hot Chicken, Lardo, Portland chef Rick Gencarelli’s over-the-top sandwich eatery, James Beard Award-winning Chef Andy Ricker’s Pok Pok Wing from Portland, and Tekka Bar: Handroll & Sake, an original Japanese handroll and sake concept from locally acclaimed Las Vegas Restaurateur, Takashi Segawa.
