GLP Worldwide is so confident that guests on cruise line Hurtigruten will see the Northern Lights on its 12-day Classic Voyage to Norway that if they don’t, they’ll be given a six or seven-day Classic Voyage free of charge. The itinerary sails up and down the scenic and fjord-filled Norway coast, which is considered one of the most beautiful cruise voyages.
"This is an amazing voyage that agents can offer their clients – it’s a win-win situation,” says Alan Law, director of sales and marketing for GLP Worldwide, which represents Hurtigruten in Canada. “See the Northern Lights, something many never do in a lifetime, or on the remote chance you don’t see them, well, you have another opportunity as we promise another cruise free of charge.”
The Northern Lights Promise is valid on new bookings only on 12-day voyages with sailing dates starting Oct. 1, and completed by March 31, 2018. If there is no Northern Lights occurrence during the voyage, a six- or seven-day voyage will be offered departing the following season from Oct. 1, 2018, to March 31, 2019 in an unspecified cabin on a full-board basis. Airfare/extras are not included. For 2018/19 voyages the same sailing and voyage completed dates apply. For these voyages if no Northern Lights are seen the offer will be extended again the next year.
