Southern-inspired packages parallel CVB, Brand USA campaign to offer easy American South travel to global guests

As the popularity of travel to the American South grows internationally, Loews Hotels & Resorts is making it easy for visitors from around the globe to get an authentic Southern experience with the new Rhythms of the South packages available at Loews Atlanta Hotel, Loews New Orleans Hotel and Loews Vanderbilt Hotel.

The hotel packages combine the best of local sounds, tastes and cultural experiences, paralleling the Rhythms of the South marketing campaign created by the Nashville, Atlanta and New Orleans convention and visitors bureaus to promote Southern cities to international visitors. This year, the 17-year-old campaign received a boost by partnering with Brand USA to bring the growing interest in Southern tourism to more travelers around the world.

“As the destination marketing organization for the United States, Brand USA has the luxury of promoting the endless possibilities international visitors have to explore the United States,” said Christopher Thompson, president and CEO for Brand USA. “Thanks to strong partnerships with such internationally recognized brands as Loews Hotels & Resorts we are able to share the Rhythms of the South packages—taking international travelers beyond the gateway cities and off the beaten path to explore the quintessential American experience.”

Guests who book Rhythms of the South receive a two-night stay, complimentary cocktails highlighting local flavors and spirits, complimentary access to popular music venues and local concerts, admission to must-see arts, culture or culinary attractions in each destination, plus complimentary parking and an arrival amenity featuring locally-made and locally-inspired items. Packages can be purchased individually or collectively to create a complete week of Southern experiences.

“Domestic tourists are well aware of all we have to offer in the South and are traveling here in record numbers, but amongst international travelers the buzz about the South is really just starting to pick up steam,” said Chris Cawley, Regional Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “We wanted to create an experience that offered ease, luxury and the genuine hospitality that’s synonymous with the South in three of our top destinations, while enabling international visitors to really soak in all the region has to offer through food and beverage, music and culture.”

Though the packages share common themes, each is uniquely local to the destination. In addition to the two-night stay, complimentary parking and arrival amenity at each, visitors who book the Loews Atlanta Hotel receive:

  • Two Georgia peach cocktails in Bar Eleven
  • Two tickets to the World of Coca-Cola tour
  • Two tickets to the High Museum of Art

Visitors who book the Loews New Orleans Hotel receive:

  • Two Sazerac cocktails in Swizzle Stick Bar
  • Gift card for two at Snug Harbor on Frenchman Street for live music
  • Gift card for two at choice of Commander’s Palace or Arnaud’s for jazz brunch

Visitors who book the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel in Nashville receive:
