Home is where Flight Centre Canada’s heart is in 2017 with the travel agency chain kicking its home-based business up a notch with a name change and major resource and technology investment in the almost decade-old division formerly known as Flight Centre Associates.
Officially rebranded Flight Centre Independent (FCI) on July 5, the company is determined to be the best host solution in the business, says FCI GM Lee Zanello, who adds that independent agents will receive full support from the company, including 100 support staff; be treated like part of the Flight Centre family; and benefit from the company’s strong brand recognition in the market.
Flight Centre’s Group and Cruise centres reflect the FCI model, with teams designed to help agents manage bookings from the enquiry stage right through to after travel.
“We’ve always run this business in true Flight Centre fashion, putting the people first,” Zanello says. “Flight Centre Independent takes this to the next level where we have an entire company now working to support the success and profitability of our agents.”
