The trade in Canada is always flush with bonus rewards opportunities for travel agents as suppliers seek to encourage bookings and to thank agents for their loyalty. Here is our monthly look at some of the offers that are currently available:
TravelBrands: Travel agents’ bookings are about to get sweeter with TravelBrands’ two Valentine’s Day promotions, the “Sweet 2% Bonus Commission” or “50 Shades of Cruising.”  Valid on all new reservations made through Feb. 18, 2018, this sweet offer applies to travel anytime.

Agents will receive two per cent bonus commission on any Travelgenie packages, hotel only, car only, add-ons and specialty products. Additionally, agents who book any five cruises, in any category through Encore Cruises will receive $50 bonus commission per booking.  For every fifth cruise booking made; $50 Bonus Commission will be added to each of the five bookings!  (
Sunwing: Agents can Learn, Earn, and WIN as part of the tour company’s resort partner of the month promotion with Melody Maker Cancun. Through Feb. 28, agents can find out more about the beachfront Cancun resort through a series of webinars and training opportunities that will enable agents to become more familiar with the unique selling features of the hotel. They’ll also receive 8X STAR Agent Reward Points that convert into cash for each new booking confirmed.
As well as earning extra STAR points each time they make a booking, agents will also gain a ballot for a chance to win an all-inclusive vacation for two at the resort. The more bookings an agent makes; the more chances they have to win! A seven-day vacation package will be given away each week during the promotion.
Sandals & Beaches: Through March 15, agents can earn a bonus payment of up to US$85 per booking (for travel anytime), for new bookings at Sandals and Beaches resorts.
The bonus is as follows:

 Butler Suite – US$35 bonus for 6-night stay; US$85 for 7 nights or more  
• Club / Concierge Suite – US$25 bonus for 6-night stay; US$55 for 7 nights or more
• Luxury / Deluxe Room – US$15 bonus for 6-night stay; US$30 for 7 nights or more
There is no limit to how much agents can earn – so more new bookings equal more bonuses.  However, all bookings must be registered on Sandals’ travel agent portal within 30 days of making the booking. The incentive booking bonus payments will be made within 10-14 business days after travel.

Goway: With Iceland expected to continue its emergence as one of travel’s hottest destinations in 2018, Goway is eager to help travel counsellors see what all the fuss is about for themselves by introducing agent rates on a number of its programs there. The special deals apply during winter and spring months, but Goway is quick to note: “Despite its location in the North Atlantic, Iceland’s winters are quite mild, regularly staying around the freezing mark.” The tour operator goes on to point out that “heading to Iceland in winter or spring allows you to avoid the summer crowds and take advantage of some great agent rates – something that is a rarity these days for Iceland!” Three- to eight-night options feature the capital, Reykjavik, historic sites, waterfalls and geysers of the Golden Circle, along with opportunities to watch amazing Northern Lights.
