Fully Accessible Barbados
Fully Accessible Barbados (FAB) is one of the flagship programs of the Barbados Council for the Disabled, bringing new opportunity and experiences for many on the island of Barbados. Barbados now features Accessible hotels, bathrooms, restaurants, parking, wheelchair access, as well as assistance with the blind and visually impaired. Such places of access include: Accra Beach Hotel, Amaryllis Beach Resort, Colony Club, Hilton Barbados, The Kensington Oval, The Sheraton Mall, The George Washington House, The Beach House, Chefette, Just Grillin’ and Brown Sugar Restaurants, and even The Grantley Adams International Airport.
“This initiative is extremely important to us,” said Cheryl Carter, Senior Business Development Manager for the Barbados Tourism Authority in Canada. “There is so much Barbados has to offer, and with the launch of Fully Accessible Barbados, we hope that the program brings the disabled the ability to experience activities they previously did not have access to.” www.fullyaccessiblebarbados.com
